A pub-to-pub walk in the beautiful countryside south of Bath. Start with an undulating climb up to the quintessential village of South Stoke before heading down to follow the route of the Somersetshire Coal Canal back to the start.

Distance: 3.4 miles / 5.5 km with an up and down of 763 ft / 233 m
Slopes: Two reasonably steep climbs and descents
Steps & stiles: Short set of steps at the start, one stile
Terrain: Unpaved paths and minor roads.
Transport: Visit travelinesw.com. Bus stops on Midford Road, outside the Hope and Anchor and in South Stoke. Patrons only car parking behind the Hope and Anchor.

Rest points: Bench on exiting South Stoke
Dogs welcome: Yes, though livestock can be in the fields and some lane walking so please be prepared to put them on a lead.
